THE ROLEAs Recreation and Inclusion Supervisor, you will guide and deliver inclusive recreation programs and services for individuals and families in the military community. You will expand access for participants with disabilities and support needs ensuring they can meaningfully engage in recreation programming, events and community life.
You will plan and deliver inclusion programming and implement individualized plans for participants with disabilities and support needs. You will coach and supervise employees and provide direct support when implementing behaviour management protocols. You will monitor program quality and gather and report on program feedback.
You will maintain consistent communication with participants’ families and caregivers, providing regular updates on program plans, participant progress, address concerns professionally, and escalate matters to management when appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDEducation, Certifications and Licenses
High School diploma AND several years of experience related to working with children/youth and individuals with disabilities, or a related field
AND
Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification
Current High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development (PHCD) Certification
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training, an asset
Behavior Management Systems certification, an asset
Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)/Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI) Therapy training, an asset
