THE ROLE

As a Grocery Clerk, you help support the provision of retail services to a unique client base - members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and in assisting them, you are helping your community. You assist with merchandising and stocking sections of the grocery store, ensuring shelf label retail prices are correct. You assist in receiving stock, verifying shipments for damages or shortages. You record temperature readings on refrigeration equipment and inform your supervisor of any food spoilage or expired products.

The Grocery Clerk assists with bagging customers’ groceries and carrying out of merchandise. You return shopping carts to the store interior and remove snow and ice from walkways and loading areas. You ensure shelves and grocery store areas are clean and merchandise in receiving areas and warehouse are secure.
