THE ROLE

The Information Asset Management (IAM) Analyst supports digital transformation and innovation at CFMWS by ensuring that organizational information assets, particularly within Microsoft 365 and RIMS (the information asset technology suite based on SharePoint) are managed in compliance with information lifecycle management policies, metadata standards, and governance frameworks. This strategic role combines data analysis, business process improvement, and digital adoption to modernize user experiences and enhance the stewardship of information assets.

The IAM Analyst will analyze data, assess compliance, and support the implementation of digital strategies that improve operational efficiency and organizational performance.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

College diploma or certificate in Data Science, Business Analysis or a related field AND several years of experience in data analysis, database design or a related field

Experience

In Transact Structured Query Language (T-SQL)

In developing data cubes for analysis

In using tools and code to support analytical projects

In data modeling and programming

In data visualization and in designing and creating dashboards and Business Intelligence (BI) models

In applying policies, procedures, and regulations

In conducting deep-dive analyses

In working with datasets

Competencies, Skills and Abilities

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

English or French Essential, Bilingual (English and French) an asset

OTHER INFORMATION

This is a hybrid position with an assigned work location allowing the employee to work partly from a corporate office and partly from a home office in accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, and with approval from the direct manager.

Consideration will also be given to candidates outside of the Ottawa region. You must reside and work from anywhere within Canada. In accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, by presenting your candidacy for this role, you confirm that you meet this criteria.

As part of the selection process, the successful candidate must successfully complete a Reliability status security screening.
