THE ROLEThe Arena Operator and Facility Maintainer plays an important role, providing quality services and facilities to our military members, their families and the community.
Imagine spending time with a great group of people and sharing your passions. Each day will be different as you support the day-to-day operations of the Arena and the sports fields. You will drive the Zamboni, maintaining optimal ice conditions, and prepare and line the baseball fields and other sport fields.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDEducation, Certifications and Licenses
High school diploma AND some years of experience in a related field
Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification
Valid Driver’s Licence (BC)
Experience
In operating an arena or similar facility (an asset)
In ice maintenance procedures (an asset)
In maintenance and lining of sports fields (an asset)
In operating ice rink equipment (an asset)
In operating outdoor facility maintenance equipment (an asset)

OTHER INFORMATIONSalary: $20.12 - $21.93 CAD Per Hour
Successful completion of the following by the end of probation period
- RFABC - Refrigeration Safety Awareness (or similar)
- RFABC - Ice Makers Course (or have demonstrated equivalent experience)
Perform moderate lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. more than 10 lbs/4.5 kg but less than 50 lbs/23 kg).
This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.
