THE ROLEAs the Air Crew Conditioning and High Performance Coordinator, you will collaborate with key stakeholders from the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and Personnel Support Programs (PSP) to empower reconditioning teams across the country. You will act as a subject matter expert in the programs and services you coordinate, including the Aircrew Conditioning Program and support for Strength and Conditioning Specialists working with Army, Navy, and Air Force personnel. Your role will involve developing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-informed fitness and performance programs that aim to enhance operational readiness and health-related fitness for specialized populations. You will contribute to the standardization and continuous improvement of strength and conditioning practices across the CAF, supporting the delivery of high-quality services by field-based specialists. To be successful in this position, you should be a strong communicator and writer, with experience in program development, training, implementation, and evaluation. A solid understanding of strength and conditioning principles, particularly in reconditioning, tactical or high-performance settings, will be a key asset.QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDEducation, Certifications and Licenses
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Sciences, or in a related field and some years of experience in physical fitness program and evaluation administration
Current Certified Exercise Physiologist (CSEP_CEP) OR equivalent certification from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), essential
Current Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS), an asset

OTHER INFORMATIONThis is a hybrid position with an assigned work location allowing the employee to work partly from a corporate office and partly from a home office in accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, and with approval from the direct manager.
