Summary

We are seeking an Intermediate Detailer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing structural design and detailing to complete fabrication drawings for the gas turbine and environmental industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Use AutoCAD/SolidWorks/Stru-CAD to prepare accurate models and detailed shop drawings.
  • Check, review, and organize drawing packages to meet detailing standards.
  • Verify drawings against specifications, standards, and requirements; revise as necessary.
  • Issue drawings to the shop for fabrication in line with the production schedule.
  • Prepare work orders and project documentation.
  • Complete work within established project timelines and budget hours.
  • Apply both 2D and 3D CAD skills in creating, editing, and modeling project work.
  • Perform 2-D drawing editing and cleaning in CAD.
  • Properly file and maintain all assigned projects.
  • Support detailing operations and assist team members as required.
  • Demonstrate willingness to work extra hours when required.

Requested skills

  • 1–5 years’ experience as a detailer.
  • Strong knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD and basic drafting standards.
  • Post-secondary technical training (college/university) is an asset but not required.
  • Knowledge of trigonometry and ability to apply math skills in drafting.
  • High proficiency in AutoCAD/SolidWorks and MS Office (Word, Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and precision.
  • Ability to read and understand metric and imperial measurements.
  • Excellent time-management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English (oral and written).
  • Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Proven record of punctuality, reliability, and good attendance.
  • Safety-conscious with the ability to work independently or in a team.
