We are currently hiring Fitters and Welders to join our team for day shift. This role involves the layout and fitting of plate and structural steel fabrications in a busy, safety-first fabrication shop. You’ll work with high-grade materials, follow blueprints, and help produce quality components that support major industrial projects.

We’re growing again and expanding our operations with a new facility at 6 Adams St. Paris. Our team is actively preparing the space for the next phase of our growth, including the installation of new cranes, workstations, tooling, and equipment to support increased production capabilities.

Our tentative transition timeline for this location is August–December 2026. In the meantime, successful candidates will begin their employment and hands-on training at our 84 Shaver St. Brantford location, where they’ll learn our products, processes, and become part of the team. Once our new facility is ready, employees will transition with us to our new location in Paris.

Pay: $27.00–$34.00 per hour

Schedule:
Days Shift
4-Day Work Week – 40 hours per week

What You'll Be Doing

  • Read, interpret, and lay out work according to engineering drawings, bills of material, and work orders
  • Fully understand blueprints, weld symbols, and bills of material
  • Perform repairs and rework as needed to maintain customer tolerances
  • Apply knowledge of metallurgy, steel shrink rates, and warping to ensure accurate fit-up
  • Fit panels, boxes, cylinders, and transition pieces in both stainless and carbon steel
  • Operate welding equipment safely and professionally as required
  • Fit/weld assigned jobs, including work at heights or in confined spaces (training provided)
  • Work with various metals as required
  • Use overhead cranes, forklifts, ladders, and other equipment with proper training
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals
  • Follow all safety protocols and shop procedures

Requested skills

What You Bring

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Fitter Welder (FCAW, GMAW, GTAW)
  • Ability to pass an in-house FCAW Carbon Steel Fillet Weld Test (CSA W47.1) and Blueprint Reading Test
  • Current CWB welding tickets considered an asset
  • Experience welding in multiple positions and with various materials
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and team-oriented
