Superintendent of Education

The Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board invites applications for the position of Superintendent of Education. Situated along the eastern shore of Lake Huron and southern Georgian Bay, this dynamic and progressive Board serves approximately 4,800 students in eleven elementary and two secondary schools.

General Description of Duties

Reporting to the Director of Education, the successful candidate will be assigned system portfolios, which may include a family of schools, that meet the individual's expertise and background. The Superintendent of Education will provide effective Catholic leadership in the development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of evidence-aligned programs and services to provide inclusive, safe, and equitable learning experiences for all students. They will provide innovative, strategic, and compassionate operational leadership and will work collaboratively with the system’s leadership team in developing and executing multi-year strategic plans in support of the education and business objectives of the Board. Additional leadership responsibilities and project assignments may also be assigned based on system needs and interests.

Minimum Qualifications

Completion of Supervisory Officers Qualifications (as specified by the Ministry of Education and the Ontario College of Teachers)

Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers

Superior interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Demonstrated expertise in inclusive, evidence-aligned instructional leadership and project management

Proven excellence as a Catholic School Principal
