Team Lead, Mobile Development, Connectivity & Application Development

Connectivity encompasses the development of mobile applications and the integration of digital experiences with BRP recreational vehicles, as well as the smart use of collected data. Your role will be to propose innovative concepts that add value for our customers, dealers, and internal teams. Your mission: oversee and support the local mobile team to ensure high-quality deliveries aligned with global technical standards.

As Team Lead, Mobile Development within the Connectivity & Application Development team, you will be responsible for coaching and supporting the mobile development team based in Brazil in the technical execution and delivery of connectivity initiatives. You will ensure code quality, adherence to best practices, and smooth day‑to‑day operations.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Manage priorities and plan the mobile team’s daily work.

  • Support developers in resolving technical and organizational issues.

  • Ensure adherence to development standards, code reviews, and security best practices.

  • Collaborate closely with your manager and QA teams to deliver high‑quality releases.

  • Participate in sprint technical planning and estimation definition.

  • Foster team skill development and local team cohesion.

  • Contribute to documentation and continuous process improvement.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • 5+ years of experience in native mobile development (Kotlin, Swift) or cross‑platform development (Kotlin Multiplatform).

  • Experience with Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi protocols; databases (MySQL, MariaDB, and MongoDB); API protocols (REST & GraphQL); and Azure Cloud services.

  • Experience in technical team leadership or mentoring.

  • Strong communication and remote coordination skills.

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control tools (Git), and API integrations.

  • Rigor, proactivity, and natural technical leadership.

  • Ability to communicate daily with internal and external stakeholders located outside Quebec, notably in Brazil, or with English‑only stakeholders. Knowledge of Portuguese is an asset.
