We are looking for a Strategic Buyer IGS reporting to the Head of Goods and Services. In this role you will need to master your responsibilities and develop trusting relationships with your suppliers, colleagues, and the sector leaders you collaborate with. You will also need to take ownership of the BRP project and budget cycle by being involved in various purchasing projects and developing savings plans as well as targeted procurement strategies. Finally, you should become familiar with your purchasing portfolio, including current contracts and services, upcoming needs and strategic suppliers. Consider identifying the impact you can have through the implementation of purchasing strategies.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Contribute to the company's success by seeking the best suppliers and managing purchasing activities in the CAPEX and MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) categories for all BRP sites within the expected timelines, costs, and quality of service.

  • Create value for our shareholders and internal clients through effective company-wide category management strategies, positively impacting spending, cash flow, and overall service quality.

  • Act as a true business partner in managing purchasing categories, collaborating with sector leaders to be consulted and influence critical procurement and spending decisions for the organization (market monitoring, bidding, supplier selection and contract renewal).

  • Maximize collaboration through the use of SAP and Ariba, while respecting and enhancing internal processes.

  • Ensure sustainable internal and external relationships by acting responsibly, transparently, and in compliance with the company's corporate policies, indirect purchasing policy, and BRP procurement guidelines.

  • Participate in the drafting and revision of contracts in collaboration with the BRP Legal Department as part of the planning, review, and contract negotiation process.

  • Have a strong command of contracts and their annexes, from signing to termination (or expiration), and manage post-closure follow-up as needed.

  • Support the internal client in managing relationships with service providers, evaluating their performance and following up when required.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • A bachelor’s degree in administration or any other related field.

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in procurement, primarily in supply chain and manufacturing operations.

  • Bilingualism is essential, both orally and in writing, in French and English to communicate with internal clients and suppliers; Spanish would be an asset.

  • Knowledge of the Google/Windows environment (Doc/Word, Sheet/Excel, Slide/PowerPoint), SAP, the full Ariba suite and Power BI is an asset.

  • Ability to develop, track, and monitor the execution of multiple initiatives simultaneously with proven success in terms of savings and service.

  • Ability to develop and implement creative negotiation strategies and build strategic relationships.

  • Basic knowledge of commercial law in order to create standard contracts; understanding corporate names and incorporation laws would be an asset.

Position based in Valcourt or Montreal (no relocation expenses offered).
