We are looking for a Packaging Engineer, Logistic Strategy to be a key agent of change in integrating new, innovative types of packaging for our vehicle components, across all product lines. You will also meet a wide range of stimulating challenges with a position at the heart of BRP’s processing, innovation and continuous improvement. You'll work closely with a number of multidisciplinary teams in delivering worldscale projects, and to put to use your packaging and project management skills and ability to influence multiple stakeholders
YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Analyze logistics data and costs to target and seize priority packaging opportunities
Conduct feasibility studies related to packaging projects with a high potential for return on investment
Select the best specific technology to protect and transport a given type of part
Design prototypes for returnable packaging
Coordinate the implementation of packaging projects, up to the final approval from internal partners
Manage multiple project budgets in the returnable packaging portfolio
Oversee technological and strategic developments by staying abreast of industry best practices
Build and maintain a network of external partners to support the company’s mission
Promote a spirit of continuous improvement to support our Lean Enterprise mission
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
- Bachelor’s degree in packaging engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or a related field
- A minimum of two years’ experience in packaging for vehicle components
- Bilingualism in French and English in order to communicate with internal and external stakeholders outside Quebec
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel) as well as modelling softwares
- Project management experience with strong analytical skills and attention to details
- Sense of initiative, autonomy, structure and rigor
- Solid project and budget management skills
- Excellent ability to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
- Proficiency at synthesizing and communicating complex information to a variety of audiences
Willingness to travel on occasion.
This position is based in Valcourt, Quebec.
