The Strategic Planning and Operational Excellence function within Global Manufacturing Operations (GMO) is evolving rapidly. To take strategic planning to the next level, we are looking for a department head who is able to structure complexity, support leaders in their strategic decisions, and ensure global consistency between vision, priorities, and governance mechanisms.

Reporting to the Director, GMO Strategic Planning and Operational Excellence, this role offers a development opportunity, strong executive exposure, and a tangible opportunity to influence long-term performance.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

Executive Communication and Organizational Alignment

  • Design and deliver high-level executive presentations, including CEO updates and materials for the Board of Directors, IRC, and other strategic forums.

  • Ensure the strategic message is consistently communicated and disseminated throughout the organization, notably through webcasts and presentations for managers and employees.

  • Transform complex issues into clear, coherent, and mobilizing narratives to foster long-term alignment with the strategic plan.

Carry out strategic planning and governance.

  • Contribute to the definition and evolution of the corporate strategic plan by structuring planning cycles, strategic workshops, and interim reviews.

  • Define and evolve strategic governance frameworks while ensuring alignment between the vision, business priorities, and monitoring mechanisms.

  • Translate strategic orientations into clear priorities, structured initiatives, and reference frameworks, using performance metrics to inform strategic thinking.

Strategic Analysis and Value Creation

  • Conduct benchmarking as well as internal and external trend analyses (market, operations, and manufacturing excellence).

  • Identify key structural issues, strategic risks, and value creation opportunities.

  • Develop high-value-added analyses, scenarios, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, including proven experience in a management role.

  • Experience in strategic planning, performance, operations, or organizational transformation.

  • Experience at BRP or in a complex manufacturing environment.

  • A demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver executive presentations for the CEO, Executive Committee, and Board of Directors.

  • Excellent synthesis and analytical skills, and a highly structured approach.

  • Strong attention to detail, rigour, and aesthetic appeal in executive deliverables.

  • Fluency in both spoken and written French and English is essential, as the candidate will represent BRP in dealings with international suppliers (French/English). Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

  • The position is based in BRP's Montreal, Valcourt, or Sherbrooke offices, with the requirement to be in Valcourt in person one day per week, for a total of 50% of work time on-site.

  • Availability to travel four weeks per year to visit our manufacturing sites and conduct benchmarking analyses is required.
