The Internal Controls Analyst plays critical role in supporting the design, assessment, and implementation of effective internal controls during SAP implementations and across other enterprise transformation projects. This role partners closely with FIC (Financial Internal Control) and the SAP implementation team to ensure controls are embedded, compliant and operationally effective from go-live onward.

The role focuses on integrating internal controls into SAP business processes and other transformation initiatives, minimizing risk, and ensuring a smooth transition from legacy environments.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

Internal Controls & SOX

  • Support the design, documentation, and implementation of business process controls within SAP.

  • Ensure compliance with SOX, internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO), and company policies during system transformation.

  • Identify control gaps arising from process redesign, system configuration, or automation and recommend mitigating controls.

  • Assist in defining manual vs. automated controls and support testing readiness

SAP Implementation Support

  • Act as a controls liaison between FIC and SAP implementation team.

  • Review SAP configuration, process flows, and functional design documents to ensure control requirements are addressed.

  • Support risk and control assessments for new SAP-enabled processes, reports, and integrations.

  • Validate that controls are appropriately embedded prior to user acceptance testing (UAT) and go-live.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field

  • Professional certification and designation CPA or similar certification (preferred)

  • 5+ years of experience in internal controls, SOX, audit, or risk management

  • SAP implementation or ERP transformation experience strongly preferred

Technical & Functional Expertise

  • Strong understanding of internal controls, SOX, and COSO framework

  • Working knowledge of SAP business processes

  • Familiarity with SAP environments (ECC and/or S/4HANA)

  • Experience reviewing or supporting system implementations, upgrades, or ERP transformations

  • Ability to assess complex processes and identify control risks and gaps

  • Strong attention to detail with an understanding of end-to-end process flows

  • Comfortable evaluating both manual and automated controls

  • Ability to communicate control concepts clearly to non-controls stakeholders.
