HIL Validation Technical Advisor

We are looking for a Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) Validation Technical Adviser reporting to the Diagnostic and Validation Team Leader in the Mechatronics Group. In this role, you will ensure the smooth operation of the HIL system as a testing and simulation solution for various electrical and mechatronic systems. As such, you'll have an impact by supporting the growth of projects in the pipeline that equip all our vehicles.

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO: 

  • Develop and execute test plans required to validate electronic modules, electrical systems and embedded software, taking into account the applicable norms and standards.
  • Develop simulation models for embedded module validation systems.
  • Support mechatronics project engineers in the verification and validation of technical requirement documents (TRD).
  • Design, develop and maintain the equipment and software required to validate electronic modules, electrical systems and embedded software.

YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES: 

  • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a strong interest in embedded software programming, or a degree in the physical sciences or computer science, with relevant experience.
  • The ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders outside Quebec or in English on a daily basis.
  • Understanding of the transfer of physical phenomenon -> sensors -> analog signal -> module (processing) -> action or communication protocol. 
  • Understanding of the relevant electrical, electronic, software and mechanical principles.
