Description
We are looking for a Financial Analyst reporting to the Head of Finance. As a Financial Analyst, you will work within the Product Manufacturing, Systems and Manufacturing Technologies strategic team.
YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
· Take responsibility for consolidating and accounting for raw material inventories at all the company's manufacturing sites.
o Track cycle inventory.
o Assist with inventory taking.
o Account adjustments.
o Reconciliation and consolidation of inventories and IRCs.
o Be the point of reference for raw materials when auditors arrive.
· Preparation and consolidation of financial presentations for senior management regarding strategic decisions, monthly results, and budgets.
· Development of profitability analyses for corporate decision-making and strategic directions (make-or-buy and strategic profitability analyses).
· Support the project team in tracking project costs and justifying variances.
· Support for decision-making on major projects.
· Support for various mandates, special projects, and month-end activities.
You will also be required to:
· Demonstrate an excellent understanding of our data sources.
· Demonstrate creativity in modelling performance indicators.
· Develop automation and access to reports.
· Support the group by producing and proposing innovative solutions to meet the needs identified by various teams in the division.
· Identify analytical opportunities/solutions to be integrated into the service for greater efficiency.
· Stay informed about new analytical trends.
· Ensure the smooth operation of existing tools, then guide and train team members to maintain the appropriate level of knowledge and expertise.
THIS ROLE IS A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
· Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (essential).
· A bachelor's or master's degree in finance or accounting.
· Strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and a synthesizing mindset.
· Computer skills (Office Suite, SAP, Google Suite).
· Knowledge of SQL and VBA (advantage).
· Knowledge of BI tools (especially Power BI and Tableau) (advantage).
· Bilingualism is essential.
· Teamwork, client relationships.
· Strong communication skills.
· Leadership.
This position is based in Valcourt, Quebec.
