Description
We are looking for an EV R&D & BRP Engineering Services. As a member of the electric vehicle and propulsion development team, your primary role will be to study, design and develop various electrical and mechatronic systems.
YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Developing and simulating BMS algorithms in Simulink format
Defining, with the help of the BMS team, future directions for strategies to develop and validate high‑level software layers
Developing BMS control and diagnostic functions
Developing the specifications and instructions to support calls for tenders from suppliers of battery and BMS components
Developing and executing the test plans required to validate technical solutions, in accordance with established standards
Collaborating with suppliers to develop electric and electronic components as well as to determine the timelines and standards to follow
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
A bachelor’s degree in computer, software, electrical engineering or equivalent
Master in French and English as you will have to communicate with stakeholders based in Quebec and outside of Quebec or monolingual English speaker on a daily basis
Proficient in Embedded C programming, MATLAB, Simulink and Python
Ability to understand and integrate electric, electronic, software and mechanical principles
Familiar with vehicle communications networks (CANs) and associated protocols
Ability to analyze and solve complex problems, and a capacity for creative innovation
Demonstrate controller programming knowledge for rapid prototyping and knowledge in mobile application development
Available to travel on occasion
