Your mission should you accept it:

Reporting to the Director of Health and Safety, the Worksite Trainer is responsible for designing, maintaining and organizing training sessions for Borea employees and its subcontractors so that they have the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their on-site tasks safely and appropriately. He ensures that the training provided complies with legislation, industry standards and Borea's health and safety plan.

  •  Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in health and safety on construction sites;
  •  Excellent knowledge of federal, provincial, and municipal health and safety laws and regulations;
  •  Basic English proficiency is sufficient, as training will primarily be delivered in French. Functional understanding of English is preferred;
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.);
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • High geographic mobility;
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license;
  • Strong management, autonomy, and leadership skills;
  • High level of administrative rigor.

What you will do to complete this mission successfully:

  • Design, maintain and conduct training sessions for Borea employees and its subcontractors at the request of on-site supervisors;
  • Ensure the quality and effectiveness of training to comply with legislation, industry standards, and Borea's health and safety plan;
  • Provide accurate and engaging training content at the hearing;
  • Complete training certificates; Be able to provide the following training: telescopic mast forklift, respiratory protection, site flagger, fall protection, articulated mast lifting platform as well as other training as needed;
  • Assess employees' skills and competencies and develop relevant training plans to improve their knowledge base;
  • Participate in the evaluation and reassessment of employees' skills and competencies; Obtain appropriate certifications to train employees on topics specific to construction sites;
  • Conduct audits on construction sites and provide support to the health and safety team;
  • Perform certain administrative tasks;
  • Carry out any other related tasks.
