The role of Site Health and Safety Coordinator implements the activities planned by the health and safety department for the project. Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, his or her objective is to support field staff on the site and to monitor provincial laws and regulations as well as the company's prevention program. • Have at least 5 years of relevant experience as a health and safety coordinator;
• Hold a Health and Safety Coordinator (HSCO) diploma;
• Excellent knowledge of federal, provincial and municipal health and safety laws and regulations;
• Have a good command of computers (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.);
• High geographical mobility;
• Hold a valid driver's license;
• Ability to work in a team and communicate both verbally and in writing;
• Autonomy and leadership;
• Excellent team management skills and conflict resolution methods;
• High administrative rigour;
• Be able to adapt to a highly stressful environment and weather fluctuations (construction site).

What you will do to complete this mission successfully:

1. Preparation and planning
Participate in the pre-qualification process of subcontractors and ensure that evaluations are transmitted to the OHS team and that monitoring rules are respected;
Participate in the task safety analysis (AST) with the supervision team;
Assess the risks present on the site and make recommendations to the supervisor; In the event of a serious violation, stop work and inform the supervisor immediately;

2. Worker integration
Ensure that all new workers receive mandatory onboarding training before they start operations.

3. Monitoring and daily operations
Complete the security guard's daily report;
Ensure the follow-up of the site's OHS documentation;
Monitor and update the site's OHS statistics;
Ensure that emergency drills and practices are conducted in accordance with the schedule established by the site's OHS program;
Coordinate manoeuvres and interventions in emergency situations;
Manage the OHS team on site (schedules, COSS coaching).

4. Incident Management and Investigations
Participate in or develop comprehensive investigations following incidents, including advance notification (PIN), identification of causes, and issuance of quantifiable corrective actions, in collaboration with the Site Management Team and/or OHS Team;
Ensure the good quality of the incident reports produced by the team;
Ensure the follow-up of CNESST files;
Keeping statistics up to date
Analyze statistics to identify risks

5. Internal and external relations
Establish and maintain good collaborative relationships with construction teams;
