Your mission should you accept it:
Reporting to the Environmental Manager, the function of the National Environmental Coordinator is to support and monitor project teams to achieve and maintain full compliance with environmental legislation, contractual requirements, and other project-specific conditions and commitments. With your communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills, your work will help foster a positive and proactive culture of environmental awareness and regulatory responsibility.

- Hold a technical or university degree in forest management and environment, forest operations, environmental studies, engineering, forestry, biology, or another relevant field.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in the construction industry;
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of environmental standards to be respected on construction sites (exemple: RADF, EQA, Fisheries Act, Species at Risk Act, etc.);
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 is an asset;
- Demonstrate an advanced level of bilingualism in English and French, written and spoken;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and training abilities;
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently and as part of a team. Strong commitment to promoting a culture of environmental responsibility;
- Proven leadership and team management skills with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teams;
- Experience in the construction industry and its health and safety standards, an asset.
What you will do to complete this mission successfully:
- Ensure compliance with environmental compliances at the municipal, provincial and federal levels. Stay updated with legislative changes and advise management on necessary adjustments;
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainable practices.
Support the development, implementation and maintenance of EMS, policies and procedures. Conduct regular reviews; - Assist in developing and delivering environmental training programs for employees.
- Conduct regular audits and site inspections on project sites and processes. Identify areas for improvement and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions;
- Assist with environmental program, including waste management, pollution control and sustainability initiatives;
- Assisting with developing, implementing, and maintaining documentation processes to support ISO management systems;
- Maintain accurate records of environmental activities, incidents, training and inspections;
- Review and submit required reports to regulatory agencies;
- Assist with sustainability initiatives, promoting sustainable practices across the organization.
