Responsibilities: Conducts financial reporting and analysis to support strategic decision-making. Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve issues. Focuses on more complex insurance products, (e.g., Segregated fund). Leads/participates in the design, implementation, and management of core business/group processes. Collaborates with the team to plan tasks effectively and manage projects efficiently Implements controls and checks to validate results and ensure accuracy. Supports internal and external auditors, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations. Qualifications: ASA with at least 5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 3+ years actuarial experience in life insurance. In-depth understanding of Corporate Reporting Process. In-depth knowledge of various systems (Moodys AXIS, Excel, Access). In-depth knowledge of IFRS17. In-depth product knowledge of Traditional, Term, and Universal Life products. In-depth knowledge of Segregated Fund is preferred. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Groups expected target for the first year in this position.
