The Senior Manager, Treasury, leads the monthly analysis of Net Interest Income (NII) and Net Interest Margin (NIM) to explain changes in margin and underlying drivers. The role serves as a central coordination point across treasury, finance, and business segments, ensuring alignment on data, messaging, and deliverables. It involves close collaboration with Finance, and Lines of Business to validate NIM drivers and develop a clear, consistent narrative for management reporting. In addition, the role is responsible for building balance sheet and revenue forecasting models for stress testing in QRM to support Enterprise-wide Stress Testing (EWST) and Macroeconomic Stress Testing (MST).
Key responsibilities
NII & NIM Management
Develop and maintain an Excel-based model to support NIM analysis, explaining period-over-period changes in deposit, loan, and corporate residual performance using key drivers including pricing strategies, funds transfer pricing vs. actual pricing/hedging, market rate movements, positioning, strategic initiatives, and portfolio mix.
Need to have a strong understanding of funds transfer pricing (FTP), liquidity management, and how banking products are transfer priced to measure profitability.
Lead and evolve driver-based NIM analysis through ongoing engagement with internal stakeholders, informing margin insights and supporting decisions on funds transfer pricing, hedging strategies, quarterly disclosures, and forecasting.
Document data flow, systems and processes to improve the design, implementation and management of business/group processes.
Stress testing
Work with the Quantitative Analytics Team to understand internally-developed balance sheet projection models and build these models into the QRM forecast framework.
Work with the product specialist teams in Treasury / Quantitative Analytics Team to understand prepayment models and ensure these models are linked properly to the forecast and functioning correctly.
Develop sources for exception products and load these into the QRM forecast strategy for stress testing and forecasting.
Analyze balance sheet results and present summary findings linked to the scenario inputs.
Participate in stress testing challenge forums, presenting and explaining total bank NII and NIM results and underlying drivers.
Qualifications:
Advanced level of proficiency: Experience with management reporting of revenue and the balance sheet at a large financial institution.
Expert knowledge in regression models.
Expert knowledge in retail and commercial banking products.
Current experience with QRM considered an asset, but not required.
Verbal & written communication skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Collaboration & team skills; with a focus on cross-group collaboration.
Able to manage ambiguity.
Expert in data driven decision making.
Typically, 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
