BMO Insurance is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Acquisition Lead specializing in Retail Insurance. As a "stack marketer," you possess a unique blend of strategic thinking, digital marketing expertise, and content creation, enabling you to drive customer acquisition. You will be instrumental in developing and executing innovative marketing solutions that align with our business objectives, enhance customer engagement, and contribute to the growth of our Retail Insurance portfolio. You will act as a key consultant, collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver impactful acquisition initiatives across internal and external distribution channels. Leveraging data analytics will be central to your approach, allowing you to identify opportunities for optimization, improve conversion rates, and enhance the overall customer experience. Your ability to translate business strategy into actionable marketing plans, coupled with your understanding of digital marketing best practices and content development, will be critical to your success.
Strategic Development & Consultation
- Consult with stakeholders to develop comprehensive marketing solutions for the Retail Insurance portfolio across BMO’s digital properties.
- Develop data-driven strategies and recommendations based on a deep understanding of business strategy and stakeholder needs.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on the implementation of marketing solutions, including campaign planning, content and creative development, monitoring, optimization, and reporting.
Digital Marketing Execution
- Develop, implement, and measure the performance of acquisition-focused campaigns and programs across various digital channels.
- Optimize user experience across web and mobile applications to improve engagement and conversion rates.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, agency, and channel teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment with business objectives.
Content Creation & Optimization
- Contribute to the development of compelling and effective content that drives customer acquisition and engagement within the Retail Insurance sector.
- Ensure content aligns with BMO’s brand guidelines, design system standards, and regulatory requirements.
Analytics & Reporting
- Leverage analytics tools to identify high-impact opportunities for improving customer engagement, conversion, retention, and revenue.
- Gather and format data to create regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards to track campaign performance.
- Analyze data and information to provide actionable insights and recommendations on customer behavior and campaign effectiveness.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including product teams, marketing colleagues, agency partners, and channel teams.
- Support the execution of strategic initiatives in close collaboration with these stakeholders.
Operational Excellence & Compliance:
- Execute routine tasks such as service requests, transactions, and queries within established service level agreements.
- Monitor compliance with BMO policies, brand standards, and design system standards, escalating issues as necessary.
- Document and maintain operational procedures and processes related to digital marketing methodologies and campaigns.
- Coordinate and execute campaign and program activities, proactively addressing issues to ensure smooth delivery.
- Monitor and track campaign performance, identifying and resolving any emerging issues.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on acquisition marketing.
- Proven experience in developing and executing successful digital marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Familiarity with A/B testing and other optimization methodologies.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices for digital content.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Retail Insurance landscape and customer acquisition within this sector is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including SEO/SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, content marketing, and paid advertising.
- Proficiency in using web analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, PowerBI) to track, analyze, and report on campaign performance.
- Experience with content creation and optimization for various digital platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience working within the financial services industry, particularly with insurance products.
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
