Description
The successful applicant will work in compliance with all relevant and applicable legislation and Hospital Policies and Procedures, will practice the Bluewater Health Standards of Performance Excellence and will fulfill their role within the Attendance Support Program parameters. The successful applicant will also possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and will have strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Bluewater Health is looking for a passionate and patient-focused Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic Rehabilitative Services team on a casual basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work across diverse clinical areas in a supportive, team-based environment where collaboration, professional growth, and high-quality patient care are top priorities.
As part of our interdisciplinary Rehabilitative Services department, you'll gain exposure to a wide variety of clinical programs across two sites - Sarnia and Petrolia - including acute care, rehabilitation, surgery, continuing care, mental health, and more. Rotational assignments provide the opportunity to grow your skills, contribute meaningfully to patient outcomes, and make each day different and rewarding.

Qualifications:
• Registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists required
• Basic proficiency in the use of computers required
• Recent experience in a hospital Occupational Therapy Department preferred
• Assess and treat patients on nursing units and in the department, planning individualized care
• Maintain accurate treatment records and adjust plans based on patient progress
• Delegate appropriate duties to support personnel, ensuring safe and effective care delivery
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the unit and across the hospital
• Maintain professional competence through ongoing learning
