Description
The successful applicant will work in compliance with all relevant and applicable legislation and Hospital Policies and Procedures, will practice the Bluewater Health Standards of Performance Excellence and will fulfill their role within the Attendance Support Program parameters. The successful applicant will also possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and will have strong attention to detail and accuracy.

-Successful completion of a Post Secondary Program preferred
-Graduate of Health Sciences Program preferred
Basic proficiency in the use of computers required
-Ability to meet the physical demands of this job required
-Recent Ambulatory Care experience preferred
-Knowledge of Procure ordering required
-Proven ability to interact professionally with other departments required
-Experience with specialized Medical equipment and procedure trays required
-Ability to adapt to a high stress and changing dynamic environment required
-Recent experience working in a Healthcare environment preferred
-Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
-French language proficiency preferred
-Responsible for the tidiness and cleanliness of patient care and nursing work areas relevant to the needs of the department
-Makes stretchers, disposes and replaces linen according to procedure
-Restocks supplies for the unit/department
-Porters patients, supplies and equipment as required by the department
-Delivery and pick up of products as needed (specimens, lab, blood etc.)
-Participates in unit/department and Hospital Quality Improvement initiatives
-Completes continuing education requirements as necessary
-Other related duties as assigned
Selection will be made on the basis of ability, experience and qualifications as per Article 11.04 of the SEIU Collective Agreement
