Description
Your Mandate
In collaboration with the Plant Manager to meet production deadlines, the Procurement and Purchasing Agent will be responsible for:
- Performing daily purchasing for the operation of our offices and manufacturing facilities
- Maintaining the inventory system on a daily basis
- Researching new products and new suppliers
- Negotiating prices, payment terms, and discounts with current and potential suppliers and subcontractors
- Reviewing incoming vendor contracts and ensuring they meet the company’s established parameters
- Reading incoming contracts and calculating the required quantities of fabric, hardware, and/or accessories needed for production, then placing the necessary orders
- Actively supporting each department in monitoring seasonal inventory
- Regularly reassessing minimum and maximum order quantities and defining required purchases

Requested skills
- Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, or any other equivalent field of study;
- 1 to 3 years of experience in procurement/purchasing;
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English, both written and spoken;
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently while managing priorities effectively;
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to make informed decisions;
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and across multiple functions;
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite;
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in task execution;
- Excellent interpersonal skills that foster effective professional relationships and interactions.
