Your Opportunity

We are looking for a Manager, Transaction Services in our Toronto office to join the Deal Advisory team. This is a net new role which will allow you to own the following responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute buy-side and sell-side due diligence engagements aimed at supporting private equity funds and corporates with their investment and divestiture decisions
  • Analyze financial/operational results of companies including quality of earnings, cash flow, working capital, capex, and net debt through reviewing financial information and conducting interviews with management
  • Conduct industry and company research including analyzing and interpreting information memorandums and publicly available information
  • Prepare deal-focused reports outlining key issues and considerations with respect to the transaction, quality of earnings, working capital and debt and debt-like items
  • Review purchase and sale agreements and client financials models to reflect findings of the due diligence process
  • Lead day to day execution and project management of engagements including managing client and target communications
  • Work closely with junior staff and play an integral role in their professional development as a coach / mentor
  • Actively participate in business development initiatives, pitches and proposals and develop long-term relationships and networks
  • Be entrepreneurial in nature to drive growth and practice management in our growing team

Your experience and education

  • Existing CPA designation, CBV or CFA an asset
  • Minimum 2 experience of deal experience in either financial due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance / FP&A or corporate development.
  • Experience working with and managing multi faceted teams.
  • Motivated, detail-oriented, autonomous, rigorous and able to work under pressure
  • Experience preparing and writing professional reports and presentations
  • Proven project management, leadership and organizational skills
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with VBAs, Macros, Power Pivot, Power Query and Power BI an asset
  • Strong work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas

The expected compensation range is $88,000 to $134,000 annually
