Manager, Procurement - 12 Month Contract

Your Opportunity

As Manager, Procurement, you will support the development and execution of BDO’s enterprise procurement strategy, with a focus on technology, SaaS, and travel procurement categories. You will contribute to cost optimization, vendor risk management, and procurement governance across the firm. As Manager, you will partner with stakeholders across service lines to enable operational efficiency, support risk mitigation, and advance BDO’s strategic objectives. You will play a key role in implementing scalable, digital-first procurement practices and supporting enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies across technology, SaaS, travel, and enterprise platforms.

  • Lead and participate in cross-functional sourcing initiatives, facilitating structured vendor evaluations, negotiations, and early stakeholder engagement.

  • Coordinate vendor risk assessments, ensure adherence to delegated signing authority policies, and maintain procurement governance standards.

  • Collaborate with executive and service line leaders (M&I, Tax, ASR, Innovation & Change, Talent & Culture, etc.) to ensure procurement activities align with business needs.

  • Manage day-to-day travel procurement activities, including supplier negotiations, travel program optimization, and alignment to firm policies.

  • Support the implementation and adoption of AI-enabled procurement tools and automated processes to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Track, analyze, and report procurement savings, efficiencies, and risk mitigation outcomes to Operations leadership.

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and subject matter support to team members and stakeholders, promoting consistent procurement practices across the firm.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in procurement, operations, or strategic sourcing, preferably with exposure to technology and travel procurement.

  • Understanding of procurement governance, compliance requirements, and vendor risk management practices.

  • Experience contributing to cost savings, process improvements, or operational enhancements in professional services or related industries.

  • Ability to influence stakeholders, collaborate effectively across functions, and support decision-making at senior levels.

  • Proficiency in commercial negotiation, digital procurement tools, and data-driven or AI-enabled processes.

  • Strong project management capabilities and excellent communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field. Professional certifications (CPSM, SCMP, CIPS) are an asset.
