Your Opportunity

BDO Canada is currently seeking a Co-op or Intern, Modern Workplace to join our Technology Consulting team in the GTA. BDO’s Modern Workplace Practice provides clients with solutions and services in the areas of Microsoft 365, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Information and Document Management, Security and Compliance.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Co-op or Intern, you will work closely with experienced professionals. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the project team by assisting with client communications, building training documentation and learning how to build trusted relationships with stakeholders.
  • Learn how to analyze business needs by gathering and organizing information about client goals, operations, and user challenges.
  • Gain hands-on experience with Business Analysis techniques, business process mapping, and documentation best practices.
  • Attend client workshops to help capture key insights about user and customer needs.
  • Assist in drafting clear and structured requirement documents under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Help review solution designs and documentation to understand how technology addresses business challenges.
  • Learn to view projects from the client’s perspective and think critically about how proposed solutions align with their goals.
  • Assist with managing and organizing project backlogs, working with the greater delivery team to prioritize requirements, define and manage scope and sprints for a project.
  • Contribute to issue tracking and help flag project risks or roadblocks to the team for resolution.
  • Support pre-sales efforts by helping prepare demo content, slide decks, pricing tables, or proposal drafts.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for enthusiastic students who are eager to grow their skills and contribute to impactful client projects. Ideally, you:

  • Are pursuing a degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Science from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Excellent customer-facing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Embrace ambiguity and complexity with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Experience using Business Analysis techniques to problem-solve, requirements elicitation and analysis, data modelling, business process modelling and requirements management.
  • A curious mindset and interest in solving real business problems with technology.
  • Knowledge of Generative AI, Copilot, Microsoft 365 (Office, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, Viva etc.) and Hyperautomation.
  • Understanding of the following concepts: Generative AI, Robotic Process Automation, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge Management, Information Management, Records management, Employee Experience.
  • Previous experience working with a consulting firm or experience with end-user documentation or basic training delivery would be an asset.
