Your Opportunity

Our offices are looking for a Banking Manager, Personal Debt Solutions to support our Center of Excellence. The successful candidate would support the Senior Manager of Banking in day to day operations for the COE. The roles and responsibilities would be as listed below:

Responsibilities - Banking COE Manager

  • Lead and manage the national Banking Centre of Excellence (COE), overseeing daily banking operations across multiple offices to ensure accuracy, compliance, and service excellence.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise on insolvency banking processes, trust accounting requirements, and OSB compliance standards, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements.
  • Oversee high-volume transactional workflows, including bank reconciliations, PAD agreements, dividend distributions, interim payments, final disbursements, and fee cheques.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop a geographically distributed team; delegate tasks, manage workloads, monitor performance metrics, and support continuous skill development.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex banking issues, exceptions, and client inquiries, ensuring timely resolution and strong client experience outcomes.
  • Partner with Licensed Insolvency Trustees, COE teams, IT, Compliance, and Finance to align banking operations with firm-wide priorities and regulatory obligations.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, improve turnaround times, and support scalability of national banking operations.
  • Oversee quality control, audit readiness, and internal controls for trust accounting and banking functions.
  • Support system and process changes (e.g., Ascend, Promeric, banking platforms).

Your experience and education

  • 5 or more years of related experience within the Insolvency field; while corporate insolvency experience is an asset, the primary focus will be on consumer work
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of insolvency rules, laws, and procedures
  • Professional Designation would be considered an asset
  • 1-2 years experience of people management, coaching
  • Able to prioritize with the flexibility to manage workload demands and multiple tasks as required
  • Flexibility on working hours as some evening work will be required
  • You value teamwork, client service, and quality in your work.
