The Geospatial Technician creates digital, graphic, and descriptive products using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and supports statutory decision-makers by determining the legal land status of specific areas and completing full Legal Land Status Reports. This position maintains the accuracy and integrity of various provincial databases. Job Requirements: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Diploma in geographic information systems or equivalent. Experience capturing, converting, creating, editing and/or maintaining digital information in a GIS environment. Experience creating a variety of digital, geographical and/or descriptive products. PREFERENCE MAY BE GIVEN FOR ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING: Experience with government applications including: Tantalis, GATOR, ILRR, Authorizations Tracking System (ATS), QuickWins, and eLicensing.
