As a Licensed Psychologist in CYMH (Child & Youth Mental Health) you provide direct clinical services such as intake, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention for children, youth and their families. Consulting with community agencies, schools, hospitals, and other ministry programs, you understand the importance of being involved in community education, development, coordination and prevention/early intervention programs. You build and maintain relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders in the community to ensure that conflicts are resolved and appropriate outcomes are achieved. Job Requirements: Ph.D in Clinical Psychology. NOTE: If your degree was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must provide a basic report by the closing date of this posting to be considered. Registered (or in the process of being registered) with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia as a Psychologist. Completion of a psychological pre-or post-doctoral internship of 1600 hours in a child and youth mental health or hospital setting with specialization in formal psychological assessment, diagnoses and treatment of mental health disorders. Experience in clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology with a focus on working with children aged 0-8, with additional experience working with adolescents. Must possess and maintain a valid class 5 BC Drivers license with no restriction or equivalent (i.e. from another Canadian Province). Preference may be given for: Applicants who are already registered with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia as a Psychologist. About this Position: Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 0.5 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement. Applicants who do not fully meet the required qualifications may be considered for this position, but at a lower classification. This is a part-time (0.5 FTE, 35 hours biweekly) temporary opportunity until approximately March 28, 2025 that may be extended. This temporary posting is not limited to the geographic area.
