Job Summary

The Team
The Vancouver Law Courts Court Clerk Team is a well‑established, collaborative group supporting the largest Supreme Court registry in British Columbia. The team works closely with the Judiciary, legal professionals, justice partners, and the public to support complex criminal and civil court proceedings.

The Role
This opportunity provides essential court clerk services and administrative support to ensure court proceedings run efficiently, accurately, and fairly. The role involves preparing and managing court records, recording proceedings, and supporting in‑court operations while contributing to respectful, inclusive service for all court users.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent (e.g. GED).
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in an office environment; OR 2 years combination of customer service, clerical duties, office experience and education.
  • Experience/training in keyboarding, data entry, word processing and standard computer applications.
  • Minimum of 40 words per minute (WPM) in keyboarding.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Experience delivering customer service.
  • Experience as a court clerk and/or registry clerk
  • Experience with JUSTIN and/or CEIS.
