Job Summary

The Team
The Golden Court Registry is a small, experienced, and dedicated team that supports both the Provincial and Supreme Courts through the delivery of integrated court programs and services. With 1.5 permanent positions-including an Administrator, a Combo Clerk, and an auxiliary clerk supporting from retirement-the team works closely with justice partners such as Crown counsel, defence counsel, police, community corrections, Native Court Workers, and the public to promote safe, timely, and impartial access to justice. The team is known for its compassion, professionalism, and commitment to supporting the Court Services vision across the region.

The Role
This position provides essential court clerk and registry services by supporting all levels of court, managing case documentation, and performing pre-, post-, and in-court duties such as preparing courtrooms, managing exhibits, maintaining accurate court files, and interpreting and processing court documents. As a key contributor to access to justice, the role delivers front counter service, operates case tracking systems, and provides information to court users in a dynamic environment. The work is meaningful and highly engaging, though it may require overtime, travel to circuit court locations, and independent driving as operational needs arise.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent.

Experience :

  • Two years office experience, or
  • One year office experience and a minimum of one year education/training in a legal related field
  • Experience/training in keyboarding, word processing and other standard computer applications
  • Must have a minimum of 40 WPM keyboarding

Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following:

  • Experience with JUSTIN and/or CEIS.
  • Experience delivering customer service.

About this Position:
This position is part time (0. 5 FTE, 35 hours biweekly)
One permanent position is available in Golden.
This position has full time on-site requirements.
