The Team
Join the Court Administration team at Rossland Law Courts, an established and collaborative group dedicated to upholding justice in British Columbia. Working in a historic setting, this close-knit team supports both the Provincial Court and the Supreme Court, ensuring efficient and impartial access to legal services for all citizens. With a strong culture of integrity and compassion, team members work alongside judges, administrators, sheriffs, and the public, learning and supporting one another to deliver service excellence.

The Role
As a Court Clerk/Registry Clerk, you will play a key role in ensuring that court orders and documentation are accurately recorded and accessible to support the judicial process both in Court and in the Registry. Your work directly impacts access to justice, helping to uphold fairness and transparency for all citizens. This opportunity allows you to be part of a long-standing tradition of service excellence, working in one of BC’s most iconic historical buildings alongside a supportive, close-knit team dedicated to justice.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Two (2) years office experience, or
  • One (1) year office experience and a minimum of one (1) year education/training in a legal related field
  • Experience/training in keyboarding, word processing and other standard computer applications
  • Experience in keyboarding with a minimum of 40 words per minute WPM
  • Prefer experience with JUSTIN and/or CEIS
  • Prefer experience in criminal and/or civil court processes and court systems
  • Prefer experience delivering customer service

PROVISOS:

  • Must be willing to attend and complete relevant training programs
  • May be required to travel, including travel in adverse weather conditions and work in other geographical areas, including circuit court locations
  • Must have reliable transportation and/or be willing to travel with others
  • May be required to work flexible hours, including varied shifts and overtime on short notice

About this Position:
This position is based in Rossland.
This is a part time position (0.9 # FTE, 63 hours biweekly)
This position has full time on-site requirements.
