Job Summary

The Team
Led by Miranda Mason, ADM of Health Services Integration, this division brings together primary, acute, community, and long-term care services to improve care continuity, access, and patient flow-particularly for frail and elderly populations. Through policy leadership, system planning, and operational oversight, the team ensures services across the health system are integrated, accessible, and well-coordinated to meet the needs of British Columbians.

The Role
This role develops an allied health workforce forecasting model to inform the Health Human Resources (HHR) Strategy refresh, helping address critical gaps in allied health data and planning. The position conducts and communicates research, applies and adapts data analysis methodologies, and works with data owners and subject matter experts to improve data quality, documentation, and analytical approaches.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience

  • Registered in a recognized co-op program at the graduate level and related experience


Related experience may include one or more of the following (must have experience in at least two):

  • Experience with data manipulation Proficiency in SQL, R and/or Excel
  • Experience presenting data in a visual way (ie; PowerBI and R).
  • Experience applying regression analyses and modeling techniques.
  • Experience researching and writing at an academic level


Preferences

  • Students in Computer Science, Health Information Science, Economics and Statistics programs.
  • Advanced modelling experience.
  • Forecasting experience.
  • Health Human Resource data experience.
  • GitHub and version-control experience.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work 2 or more days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
This is a temporary opportunity until 08/28/2026. This position may be extended or become permanent.
