Job Summary

The Team
The Centralized Services team within the BC Public Service Agency (PSA) supports the delivery of efficient, consistent, and data-informed HR services across the BC Public Service. As part of this team, the ADMO Integrated Coordination unit provides data, reporting, and analysis that help inform decision-making and improve services for employees and ministries. The team is a collaborative group that works closely with service delivery teams, operational leaders, and partners across PSA to identify trends, respond to information requests, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The Co-op Student will work under the guidance of the Senior Manager, ADMO Integrated Coordination, and will collaborate with analysts and operational staff who rely on accurate information and insights to support their work.

The Role
The Co-op Student will support a variety of research, reporting, and data analysis projects that contribute to improving HR services across the organization. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience collecting and analyzing data, identifying trends, and supporting the development of dashboards, reports, and briefing materials. Working with established tools and methods, the student will assist with organizing and maintaining data, responding to information requests, and contributing to cross-team initiatives. This position offers valuable experience in public sector analytics and operations, allowing the student to build practical skills while contributing to projects that support informed decision-making and service improvements across the BC Public Service.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-graduate degree program in a related field.
  • Experience conducting research and analysis of issues to support the development of policy or the evaluation of programs.

Preferences:

  • Candidates with demonstrated experience in Power BI and data visualization, including the ability to develop interactive dashboards, translate complex data into clear insights, and support evidence‑based decision‑making through effective visual reporting.

About this Position:
This is a 1 year CO-OP temporary opportunity until 05/01/2027.
