Job Summary

The Team
The Administrative Team is a collaborative and dependable group of three Team Assistants and an Office Manager who work closely together to maintain organized systems, support staff across all service delivery areas, and uphold a respectful, professional workplace. Their work is essential to ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the office, creating a reliable environment where quality work is completed accurately and on time.

The Role
The Team Assistant serves as a key first point of contact, requiring professionalism, sound judgment, confidentiality, and accuracy to ensure clients feel welcomed, respected, and supported while contributing to a positive and collaborative office environment. This is an excellent opportunity to build foundational professional experience within a supportive, close-knit team in a unique remote community, ideal for an organized and dependable individual with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Dogwood, GED or Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC)).
  • 2 years work experience in administration or customer service
  • Minimum of 1 year experience (within the last 3 years) providing administrative support in an office. setting using various computer applications such as; MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Skype).
  • Minimum 6 months experience providing quality client service.
  • Minimum 6 months responding to client needs in a professional manner.

Preference may be given to applicants with one or more of the following:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Office Administration.
  • Administrative experience working with vulnerable children and families in a human services or social services setting.
  • Experience using Ministry of Children and Family (MCFD) Integrated Case Management (ICM) and/or Management Information Systems (MIS) computer systems.
  • Who identify as First Nations, Métis or Inuit with the required combination of education and experience.

Willingness Statements:

  • May be required to travel and work within the service delivery area; you will be responsible for your own transportation to the various offices.
  • May work with families and children and youth who are distressed and facing challenges which may occasionally involve exposure to unpleasant situations or behaviour with angry, abusive, or abused clients; exposure to hazards from frequently working around parents and/or children in crisis who may display volatile behaviour.

About this Position:
Currently there is one (1) Full-time temporary opportunity until January 31st, 2027 that may extend or become permanent.
Full-time hours are expected until October 31st, 2026. After October 31st, 2026 part-time hours may be available until January 31st, 2027.This position has full time on-site requirements.
Option 1 - CRC - A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.
Option 2 - CRC a A Criminal Record Check (CRC) and Criminal Record Review Act Check (CRRA) will be required.
