Job Summary

The Team

The Omineca Ecosystems team is an established group of nine dedicated biologists with expertise in both terrestrial and aquatic ecology. They work collaboratively with natural resource professionals, First Nations, and external partners to protect habitats, reduce industrial impacts, and support sustainable resource management across the region. The team values diverse perspectives, teamwork, and a shared passion for stewardship, and new members will also work closely with fish and wildlife teams to help guide ecological decision‑making across government.

The Role

This role supports senior biologists by reviewing natural resource sector referrals and major project proposals, and supports development of habitat mitigations through use of spatial tools and analytical skills. You will provide clear, science‑based advice to ministry clients, First Nations, stakeholders, and decision-makers, contributing directly to stronger fish and wildlife habitat outcomes. This is a meaningful opportunity to work with an experienced, collaborative team while making a real difference in environmental stewardship-all while building a rewarding career in a beautiful region of the province.
