Philomene Chartrand School is a Kindergarten to Grade 8 school with approximately 130 students, 9 teaching staff members and several support staff located in Camperville, Manitoba, 1 hour north of Dauphin.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Education degree

Valid Manitoba Teacher’s Certificate (or eligibility for)

Master’s Degree in Education/Administration and/or Certificate in School Leadership would be an asset

At least five years of teaching experience and five years of administrative experience

Excellent understanding of current Manitoba Curricula and differentiated instruction

Experience with integrating Indigenous culture and land-based teaching into curriculum

Proficiency in a variety of computer applications in a network environment and experience with and understanding of school-based technology

Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with Frontier School Division office staff

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to effectively communicate with parents and the community, and foster parental involvement

Ability to work with teachers to promote and deliver inclusive schooling

Previous success with the development and implementation of short and long-term school-based plans

Experience leading innovative and alternative program delivery methods for students

Keen ability to identify and creatively solve problems

Capacity to work in and respond to a demanding, fast-paced school environment

Ability to work in partnership with community agencies
