The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board (DPCDSB) is a dynamic Catholic school board committed to the delivery of quality educational programs and services from a Catholic faith perspective. DPCDSB, one of Ontario’s largest school boards in Ontario, is comprised of approximately 73,000 students enrolled in 151 schools (125 elementary and 26 secondary) throughout the diverse GTA municipalities of Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon, and Orangeville. DPCDSB employs approximately 8,000 faculty and staff to deliver and support its Catholic educational mission.
Supply English as a Second Language Instructor
$31.29 per hour
Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent
Valid TESL Ontario Certification (OCELT)
PBLA trained or in-training an asset
Experience in providing instruction in ESL to adults
Understanding of application of the Canadian Language Benchmarks, ESL / LINC Curriculum Guidelines, National Language Placement and Progression Guidelines and PBLA process
Familiar with the HARTs system: assessment appointments scheduling, referrals, transfers, withdrawals and progress reports, printing attendance history, certificates and check Ministry Registers
Supply ESL Instructors will be called in as needed to work in various locations
ALL new employees will be required to submit a current original criminal background check (CBC) including a ''Vulnerable Sector Screening'' (VSS) issued within 6 months prior to commencing employment with the Board.
