About the Position

The candidate will be part of, and work closely with, a collaborative team of teachers. An understanding of the BC Curriculum, effective teaching and learning practices, and a commitment to professional development are essential.

While in service in this assignment, the successful candidate will be expected to be available for daily dispatch to various schools within the district. While they will be primarily dispatched to their given level of specialization, they will also be dispatched to all other levels as may be required. A dispatch may be one or more days in duration, and the ability and willingness to be assigned to both short-term (incidental daily absences) and long-term vacancies (unfilled postings) is a requirement.

P ositions are available immediately and will end on June 30, 2024.

Qualifications:

Valid BC Teachers Certificate

Member of the Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch

Knowledge of effective literacy and numeracy practices and development

Knowledge and experience in personalizing learning for all students

Ability and willingness to work in a technologically rich learning environment

Successful completion of a Criminal Record Search as carried out through the Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch

Commitment to creating a safe and caring learning environment
