This position is currently posted internally to CUPE employees for 5 working days until 4:30 p.m. February 23, 2024, as per the CUPE Local 5829 Collective Agreement.

We have an immediate opening for a Horticultural Coordinator to create and maintain a division-wide greenhouse educational environment that will enrich and enhance the learning opportunities for Prairie Land students. In this role you will work collaboratively with staff to establish meaningful instructional opportunities with a concentration on hydroponics and soil based growing in a year-round greenhouse setting relative to the K-12 Alberta curriculum.

This is a full time (1.0 FTE), probationary, twelve-month position to commence immediately. You will work 7 hours a day, 5 days per week. Preference will be given to an individual who has obtained post-secondary education in an agricultural-related field, preferably horticulture. Previous work experience in a related field would be an asset. You must hold a valid Alberta driver’s license to accommodate travel throughout the division. A fleet vehicle may be available, however, you will be expected to maintain a reliable vehicle for travel.
