Successful Candidate Responsibilities :
Teaching Grades 4 - 9
Teacher Qualifications/Skills:
Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Effective organizational and classroom management skills
Maintain a growth mindset toward student learning, teaching practice, and personal/collective professional development
Classroom practice focused on:
a student-centered approach to responsive instruction that ensures student engagement and understanding, and nurtures teacher-student relationships
assessment for/of learning that will support students in their areas of needed growth and achievement
the domains of the NGPS Quality Learning Environment (QLE)
numeracy programming, support and intervention
literacy programming with a focus on English Second Language Learners
culturally responsive instruction
strong and effective communication with parents and the community
School practice focused on:
working with school administration to support the School Action Plan
a commitment to student achievement and success through the Collaborative Team Meeting (CTM) process
working with school administration team to enhance staff wellness, and team development and spirit
Collaborating effectively with school team, variety of stakeholder groups within the organization and with external partners to increase student performance and contribute to advancing the teaching and learning craft
