External DDSB Occasional Vice-principal and Principal supply pool

The Durham District School Board (DDSB) is responsible for public education in the rural settings of Uxbridge, Brock and Scugog Townships and the urban settings of Ajax, Whitby, Pickering and Oshawa. The DDSB accommodates a school population of nearly 79,000 day students, through 136 elementary and secondary schools and learning centres, and thousands more who take advantage of a wide variety of continuing education and adult credit courses.

Successful candidates will be placed into an Occasional pool for daily assignments within the board.

Qualifications:

Previously employed as a fully qualified Vice Principal or Principal.

Hold current Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification in good standing;

Principal’s Qualification Program (PQP) qualifications, and

Have a valid criminal reference check.

Please note: the position that you retired from will be the occasional equivalent of the position you would be hired for.

Successful candidates will display the core leadership competencies developed in the Ontario Leadership Framework (OLF) that have been shown to be effective in improving student achievement and well-being including: Setting Directions, Building Relationships and Developing People, Developing the Organization to Support Desired Practices, Improving the Instructional Program, and Securing Accountability.
