The Waterloo Region District School Board is seeking applications from current Year 2 Faculty of Education students scheduled to graduate in Spring/Summer 2024 for our Elementary Occasional Teacher Roster (JK-8). Conditional offers to be placed on the Elementary Occasional Teacher Roster will be made to successful applicants until such time as OCT qualifications are confirmed.
Emergency OT work will be an option provided to the successful candidates. Successful candidates can work as an Emergency OT on selected available days (i.e. Fridays with no classes) and until their OCT qualifications are confirmed.
French qualified candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Upon graduation, candidates must have a combination of 2 of the following qualifications: Primary, Junior or Intermediate. Candidates with Intermediate/Senior qualifications only are not eligible to apply for the Elementary Occasional Teacher Roster.

The Board continues to engage candidates in different methods of interviewing for vacancies. This may include, but is not limited to, a Google Meet video-conference interview. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Primary/Junior or Junior/Intermediate as recognized by the Ontario College of Teachers through an OCT Temporary or Transitional Certificate.
NOTE that interviews will be conducted, in part, in French for ALL applicants with French OCT qualifications.
