Production Manager

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all production activities at the APGN Blainville facility, ensuring efficient planning, execution, and delivery of manufactured turbo blower systems and related components. As APGN continues its expansion and launches a new test cell, the Production Manager will play a key leadership role in coordinating teams, optimizing processes, and maintaining compliance with APGN’s quality, safety, and operational standards..


Duties/Responsibilities
  • Supervise, coach, and support production staff while promoting a safe, high-performance work environment.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and coordinate workforce scheduling.
  • Oversee production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet project deadlines.
  • Review engineering drawings, BOMs, and ERP job packets before production release.
  • Lead Production Kick-Off Meetings (KOM) and ensure production readiness.
  • Coordinate with materials, inventory, logistics, and purchasing to support manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with Quality to ensure inspections, approvals, corrective actions, and compliance with procedures and standards.
  • Participate in FAT, SFAT, performance testing, and other verification activities.
  • Manage operations related to the test cell, including commissioning, setup, and testing readiness.
  • Ensure testing procedures and safety requirements are consistently followed.
  • Provide production status updates, manage risks, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Validate ERP job operations, approve production and test documentation, and support change control and rework processes.

Requested skills

Required Skills/Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related field (an asset).
  • 5+ years of experience in a production or operations management role, preferably in manufacturing or industrial equipment.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Epicor experience is an advantage).
  • Experience in turbomachinery, rotating equipment, or electro‑mechanical systems is an asset.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, procedures, and engineering documentation.
  • Knowledge of quality standards and testing protocols.
  • Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong commitment to workplace health & safety.
