As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Actuarial & Analytics business group within Aon Risk Solutions, in Toronto, Ontario, or elsewhere with travel. As a Senior Vice President & Senior Actuary, you will report directly to Senior Vice President & National Practice Leader and have direct reports which include entry to mid-level colleagues. What the day will look like Distinctive client value Leading a team of actuaries undertaking work for insurance companies and Commercial Risk clients including providing leadership regarding product development and quality of work output. Adherence to the quality control framework as well as continuous improvement Providing leadership for both ongoing work and projects in relation to data management, rating manual development and fleet software tool delivery and enhancements, loss forecasting, accruals, self-insurance funds, ORSA, FCT and cash flow analysis Collecting and organizing data in support of the insurance company consulting business Maintaining effective relationships with staff members within the Aon network Maintain client relationships and participate in the building of new ones. Execute on client services needs both routine and unique. Support the National Practice Leader with business development. Results: Manages timely delivery of forecasts, budgets, and other operational information to Aon Global Risk Executive Management. How this opportunity is different We are looking to hire an experienced an Other than life “Commercial Risk” insurance actuary to support the Capital & Risk function in Canada. Within this role, you will be knowledgeable about enterprise risk management with strong analytical skills and the ability to build upon the existing framework and expand risk modeling tools, risk analysis and risk mitigation processes to assist in the enhancement of ERM for AON legal entities across various regulatory jurisdictions. As an Risk Managing Actuary, you will report directly to Senior Vice President & National Practice Leader and have direct reports which include entry to mid-level colleagues. Skills and experience that will lead to success. FCAS is required. Strong communication skills Require strong computer skills; knowledge of ReservePro, @Risk ReMetrica and “R” would be valuable and Previous leadership experience preferred. Ability to lead and motivate a team. Assist with business development. Client relationship focused. Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Strong organization skills and the ability to prioritize under pressure of competing deadlines.
