The salary range for this position is $83,700-$111,600 The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity.

What the day will look like
- Negotiate with underwriters to secure the most favorable terms, conditions, and competitive pricing for both existing and prospective clients.
- Collaborate with Account Executives and clients to develop effective coverage strategies and marketing initiatives for renewals and new business opportunities.
- Analyze client-specific risk exposures and determine detailed coverage requirements; prepare and present comprehensive marketing proposals for renewals and new business.
- Establish, negotiate, and maintain strong relationships with the underwriting community to ensure optimal outcomes for clients.
- Participate in client and prospect meetings to understand needs and deliver tailored insurance solutions.
- Verify all policies and documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with agreed-upon terms and conditions.
- Process and issue, where applicable, new policies, renewals, changes, additions, deletions, and cancellations.
- Approve documentation for new contracts, policy changes, and renewals, ensuring all required signatures are obtained and documents are properly dispensed.
- Calculate adjustments and premiums on policies and other insurance documents as needed.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to junior brokers, Associate Brokers, and Broking Coordinators, facilitating business processes and supporting professional development.
- Lead by example, demonstrating and promoting the importance of adhering to standard processes across all lines of business.
- Follow up with insurers to confirm that the terms of negotiated contracts are fully met.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Minimum 7+ years proven experience and knowledge in insurance, marine preferred.
- Proven knowledge and relationship with/of domestic insurance carriers
- Broker licenses Level One and two required
- Strong skills in both written and verbal communications to be able to make an impact and influence with the client and the insurance company
- Marine or commercial insurance background is a major asset
