This role is subject to our Smart Working policy, with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Montreal office.

What the day will look like

Each day is unique in this role. The daily work may look like any combination of tasks, such as:

  • Under the direction of the Account Executive, servicing existing client portfolios
  • Managing the client renewal process by collaborating with all members of the client service team to ensure coverage is secured and client deliverables are met.
  • Receiving and processing client requests and reviewing documentation for routine policy changes, additions, deletions, or cancellations.
  • Preparing client service summaries, program reports and managing client accounts receivables.
  • Assist with establishing account specific service plans and delivery approaches which support coverage solutions.
  • Respond to inquiries from client on policy coverages under the direction of the Account Executive as may be required.
  • Assist clients with interpretation of insurance clauses within contracts/agreements.
  • Explore with the client opportunities for expanded Aon products or services.
  • May be required to work with two or more Account Executives.
  • Assisting Account Executive in new business initiatives through tasks such as coordinating dissemination of marketing material, prompting regular contact with prospect, assisting in developing new business strategies and account penetration).

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Post-Secondary degree or diploma, or 2+ years of insurance proven experience.
  • 2-5 years commercial insurance experience would be an asset.
  • French / English bilingualism required due to frequent interactions with clients, colleagues, or partners based in Quebec, other Canadian provinces and/or internationally.
  • AMF Commercial Lines license or desire to obtain one;
  • Working towards some or all: CRM, CIP, CAIB and /or related insurance designations, an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, great organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to prioritize competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Client focused with proven relationship building skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently with minimum supervision.
  • Some knowledge of Aon’s services would be an asset.
