Position Overview
The Anglophone North School District is inviting expressions of interest for the role of EST-R Lead for the 2025-2026 school year. Based at either the Bathurst or Dalhousie Education Centre, this position includes the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the ESS Subject Coordinator and support Education Support Services (ESS) initiatives across schools in the Bathurst to Campbellton region.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with and respond to school-based requests related to co-teaching, Personalized Learning Plans (PLPs), and inclusive practices
- Mentor new EST-R teachers, including providing in-service training on PLPs
- Deliver professional learning on ESS-related topics to EST-R teachers, Educational Assistants, and school staff
- Participate in and contribute to ESST meetings, case conferences, and collaborative problem-solving sessions
- Serve as an active member of the BEC/DEC ESST teams
- Provide support to the District EST-Autism Lead as required
- Complete other related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong working knowledge of Education Support Services
- Demonstrated expertise in the development and implementation of PLPs
- Experience consulting and problem-solving with EST-R teachers
- Knowledge and experience with co-teaching models and inclusive instructional practices
- Successful teaching experience in diverse classroom settings
- Master's degree in Education (ESS-related focus) considered an asset
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively as well as independently
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout the BEC/DEC areas
- Ability to manage responsibilities with minimal supervision
